I know you have questions, even I had! I was thinking when I started my blog that what is the difference between a website and a blog? There are a lot of websites out there and are they earning from their website? So the question right on spotted that what is the difference between WordPress website and blog. Now since you and I are talking related to WordPress and making money online via Blogging I will refer to WordPress so that we I do not want to create any confusion for you. So let’s dwell in to the question what is the difference between WordPress website and blog.
What is the difference between WordPress website and blog
The basic difference between a blog and a website is theoretically the difference in how data is being presented which means the format. Apart from that, in practicality there is a fine line between a blog and a website. There is some key differences between them and I want you to get clarified as it also will answer our question of what I should go with for creating and publishing your content and make money online.
What is a Blog?
A blog is a series of content (called “posts”) that are usually organized by date with the most recent post showing first (If you are using WordPress then you can customize this feature because you have more control on your blog). Many blogs out there in internet also have the posts organized by category for convenient browsing of the reader.
They have comment forms at the end of every post that allow the readers to give the author feedback and interact with other readers.
Blogs are generally more informally presented to the visitors. The language used is often much simpler than on websites. Yes, in websites you might notice a huge chunk of words that you might not understand where as in Blogs that is not the case, in Blogs you can share in normal language and it needs to be normal since the readers need to understand what exactly are you saying.
Keeping that in mind, you can implement Language options in your website so that if a user is not comfortable in a particular they have the control to change the language all together. In the blogs that Hymprudious Blog Network operates have the functionality and the control is given to the users so that they can change the language to what ever they want to and they are comfortable with.

What is website?
A blog can always be a part of a website, in the form of a separate page and linked to the homepage. A website is a bigger aspect and its limitations are little to none. A website could be anything from a single page website for selling a product or a multi Billion-users social network (for an example Facebook).
Now after knowing this I had another question which is Should I start a Blog or a Website to earn money online?
Well let me tell you that there is no right and wrong answer to this question. Due to the way people read blogs, it’s best to create a blog if you have to write about on a topic, and you should be able to produce new content on a consistent basis. And that is what we need to do of course to earn money online.
Basically websites tend to have more static information and there isn’t as much pressure to keep writing new content all the time. But in Blogs or at least if you want to earn money online then I personally would suggest you to go with a Blog since Blog is more of what you control and you would need to publish your content on a daily basis to be able to earn money online and make your living out of Blogging.
