Why WordPress should you choose for your website

I have been talking to some of the people who either have a website or plan to create a website and their first question related to the software we should or want to use was WHY WordPress why not something different? And to answer that question I wanted to do a quick post on why should you choose WordPress than any other platform when there are tons of freebies out there. Well here is why you should be choosing WordPress.

1. Why WordPress – because it is FREE as in Freedom

I know for a fact that if you are using any software then you definitely know what it is by software agreements and software licenses. But with WordPress the point is this software is completely free and when i say completely i do not mean the software only. I mean the source code as well meaning you can change the code to whatever you want according to your requirement and then you will be able to use the software for your own purpose as well. WordPress comes under general license and the source code of the software is also freely available to you so all you have to do is basically use it and tweak it to the way you would like it to work.

5. Why WordPress – because WordPress is safe and secure

As you would imagine people are always there to stuff like hacking and all but in case of WordPress if you are using proper tools and taking all the necessary actions then your website could never be hacked but again one flaw can change every thing so you have to make sure that you have taken all the precautions for the hacking sort of thing not to happen on your website.

WordPress is developed with security in mind, so it is considered quite safe and secure to run any website. However, just like the real world, the internet can be an uncertain place and anything could possibly happen as I mentioned above, which is why you have to monitor properly and take action if anything suspicious goes on.

There are intruders out there who want to get their hands on as many sites as they could. On my websites, I use wordfence to monitor security threats and I highly recommend them if you are looking for free option, and if you are looking for paid option then Sucuri is the option best one and I suggest them as well.

  1. One thing for people that are on a very tight budget and running still on all free level themes and pluggins.

You talked about the Yoast SEO pluggin and of course the guy is literally famous for how well that pluggin works for SEO. But last time I checked he also pulled his free version of it. I don’t think he has put it back.

If people just can’t afford the Yoast SEO pluggin there is a alternative which is well known also, works exceptionally well and has over a million downloads and high reviews. It also has a free version and premium upgrade, but the free version does an awful lot including your SEO Title, description, meta tags and will site map and automatically ping Google and Bing with sitemap updates.

It doesn’t go as far as Yoast does on literally telling you the other aspects of your posting, like keyword anchor texting weighting.

So you will have to learn and remember to use those aspects yourself, such as proper use and spreading of the H1 through H4 headings, bolding keywords, italics, keyword pseudonyms.

Anyhow, that SEO Pluggin is SEO All in One by Semper Fi Web Design, and it should be sitting right next to Yoast as most popular and highly rated. Its basically considered number 2 after Yoast. I consider it number 1 because the guy still has and supports a free version of his pluggin for people on a tight budget, so he is at least allowing for the fact you need a bit of success off his work to be able to pay for it. And SEO all in one, even the free version does about everything you need, except write the actual post for you.
